As the holy month of Ramadan begins on February 28, we want to extend our warmest wishes to all those in our Upton Village community who will be observing this sacred time.

Ramadan is a significant period in the Islamic calendar, marked by fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and holds deep spiritual importance for Muslims around the world. From sunrise to sunset, those who observe Ramadan fast as an act of devotion and self-discipline, while also engaging in acts of charity, kindness, and togetherness.
If you’d like to wish your friends, neighbors, or colleagues a happy Ramadan, the traditional greeting is Ramadan Mubarak, which means "Blessed Ramadan." Another greeting, Ramadan Kareem, meaning "Generous Ramadan," is also sometimes used to express well wishes for the month.

As we celebrate the diversity of our local community, we hope this Ramadan brings peace, happiness, and spiritual fulfillment to all those observing. Whether you are fasting, supporting friends and family, or simply learning more about this special month, we encourage kindness and unity across Upton Village.
Wishing you all a blessed and peaceful Ramadan!
